Super Duplex Steel buttweld fittings are produced using high-end alloys like UNS S32750 and UNS S32760 with around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum with nitrogen and other alloying constituents. This element provides great protection against pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Mechanically, these fittings possess good tensile strength, commonly in excess of 750 MPa, and yield strength approximately 550 MPa. Their duplex microstructure provides enhanced resistance to fatigue, cold toughness, and long life in service, making them suitable for extreme structural and flow-control applications in severe operating conditions.
